ASBO - P&C Win Again!

November 2014

It was “On your marks, get set, Bake!” on Thursday 31st October 2014 when the Aylesbury Solicitors Bake Off Challenge took place for the second year running. With P&C rising to the challenge, with a strong need (knead) to beat the opposition (baking puns intended!).

With entrants from Kidd Rapinet, Horwood & James, Browns and Buckinghamshire County Council competition was fierce, with everyone competing for the coveted engraved silver plated plate to be presented to the winning cake baker.

Last year the firm’s Tracey Grella baked the winning cake, so we knew we had a lot to live up to.

Anyone who wished to vote could do so for a fee of £5.00 with all funds raised going to the Florence Nightingale Hospice

All the cakes were wonderful and after the voting had finished, and a tense wait, we were really pleased to find that the ASBO crown remained with us, after James’ secretary Lesley Alley produced the winning Victoria Sandwich sponge cake.  Congratulations Lesley!

“Last year the Aylesbury Solicitors Bake Off Challenge raised much needed funds for our chosen charity, Florence Nightingale Hospice, and I am very happy to say that this year we have raised £210.00.

This is a fun event to raise money for a great cause and I would like to thank all those who took part and, of course, I am very pleased that the ASBO trophy stays with us for another year!”
