Winning Young Enterprise Team

April 2014

Young Enterprise Team ‘Revival’ named overall winners at the Aylesbury Final!

‘Revival’ are a team of 18 Sixth Form students from Sir Henry Floyd Grammar School in Aylesbury. At the start of this academic year, as part of the Young Enterprise flagship Company Programme, they set up their own firm, primarily selling re-chargeable smart phone cases.

Under the guidance of business volunteers, including our current Trainee Solicitor Atifha, they have been involved in a spectrum of business activity, including raising the initial share capital, conducting market research, sourcing and marketing their product and ultimately selling directly to customers at trade fairs while generating a profit and paying their taxes!

Parrott and Coales LLP understand how important it is to invest in future talent and we promote the idea of learning key life skills such as teamwork, practical thinking and how to be financially literate, by doing. The Young Enterprise experience helps to create commercially aware individuals who are able to provide practical solutions and this is useful both in a legal context and otherwise.

‘Revival’ impressed the Young Enterprise Judges at the Aylesbury Final on 3rd April 2014 with their passion and ability to work effectively as a team under pressure and were named overall winners! We congratulate them on their local victory and wish them well for the County Finals on 9th May 2014, where they will compete with other schools and colleges throughout Buckinghamshire.
