Trusts
A Trust is created when assets are transferred into the names of Trustees who look after and oversee the assets for the benefit of named persons. The Trust document will state the identity of the beneficiaries, whether their entitlement is automatic or by discretion of the Trustees, and the age at which the beneficiaries become entitled.
Trusts can be created in a person’s lifetime, or on death by means of a Will.
The specialist team in our Wills & Trust Department will advise on the type of Trust most appropriate to what you are wanting to achieve Legal documentation is always required to set up a Trust.
